Yoga for birth

Supporting you and your birth partner with knowledge and practical techniques to take into birth to enable you to be a strong team; prepared and confident.

Valuable, impactful and empowering you with knowledge that actually is useful - much needed for birth in 2026.

I offer specialist led birth preparation workshops that focus on how to move in labour and birth and how your birth partner can support you with this so you can work as a team together.

Yoga for Birth is a specially designed workshop for birthing women and their partners, to support both the physical and emotional experience of birth. It is a 3.5 hour workshop to ensure your preparation is embodied, practical and deeply supportive.

Understanding how our bodies function, especially the pelvis, helps us navigate a safer and can help a smoother birthing journey. The pelvis is not just a structural component; it plays a vital role in the delivery process.

Biomechanics for birth techniques can help open the pelvis, facilitating the baby’s descent and giving baby much needed space to rotate and be born.

The third trimester isn’t just a countdown. It's not about getting through the final weeks - it is about helping your body feel confident, supported, capable and ready. And yet so much antenatal education focuses on stages of labour and pain relief options - not how your body actually works which is what I am so passionate about empowering you with.

What we cover in the workshop:

Your baby’s position in your pelvis & how to influence it

Not just optimal positioning, but how your posture, movement patterns and daily habits influence comfort and space.

The biomechanics of labour

Why certain positions help at certain stages.

How your movement supports the flow of labour - descent and rotation of baby & why this matters

What your body is trying to do - and how to work with it.

Embodied preparation

Birth isn’t something you think your way through. It’s something you breathe, move and feel your way through.

Nervous system safety

Your body labours best when it feels safe.

Regulation, confidence and understanding matters more than rigid plans.

Real partner preparation

Not just “be encouraging” but practical, hands-on ways to support positioning, comfort and decision-making.

Everyone deserves to have antenatal education and information that supports them physically and emotionally when preparing for birth and I would love to support you with your journey to becoming parents.

We left feeling informed and calm ahead of the birth of our baby. One of the most valuable takeaways was that my partner felt prepared and knew his role to support me through the different stages of labour. The focus on movement, positions and breath was a great support during my labour as well as the pregnancy yoga classes. Claire's support and knowledge throughout has been amazing.
